Discover one of the classics of modern lighting that is also part of the New York Museum of Modern Art's permanent collection! Originally designed in 1962 by brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, the Arco Floor Lamp is possibly one of the best-known lights ever and was immortalized on the silver screen in blockbusters such as Diamonds Are Forever and The Italian Job. Italian designer Achille Castiglioni once said: "I consider it my greatest lamp design ever, the personification of my style: because it combines a utilitarian object with purity of form." No wonder that the design is still as popular today as it was more than 50 years ago! Inspired by a streetlight, this lamp provides overhead lighting without requiring ceiling suspension.
Because we want you to enjoy this fantastic design for as long as you want, our reproduction of the Arco Floor Lamp has been carefully crafted with extreme care and attention to details. The parallelepiped-shape marble block, which can be crafted with white or black marble, supports the lamp’s stainless steel arc and shade. The adjustable arc has more than 2 meter reach and can accommodate a dining table or sofa underneath the light source. The shade swivels for precise lighting control. For convenience in moving the lamp, the base features a hole with a broom handle.
